Also, you can use this setting if thumbnail previews are slowing down your Windows 7 PC.

To disable it:
1. Click start, type “Folder Options” and press Enter from keyboard:
2. Go to View tab and click the checkbox to check “Always show icons, never thumbnails” :
3. Click OK.

The Computer will be very fast will browsing the files and folders. Problem is that, you have to identify the image files by name, you can not see any preview of and image files too.
